Big Crunch or Endless Expansion: What is your theory on the fate of the universe?

I saw on the discovery channel that our nearest neighboring galaxy was going to crash into ours sending earth either hurling into space or right into the sun. That's so negative. Why can't the galaxies just get along. This is Milky Way's 'hood yo.
So I guess Big Endless Crunchy Expansion?
